Tasty Buns

These are very easy to make. They make great hamburger buns and even hot dog buns. In the picture above I actually made 24 rolls. I like to use parchment paper when possible, but it is not necessary you can grease the cookie sheet.

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 cup milk
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt

1. Stir together 2 cups flour and the yeast. In a separate bowl heat milk, water, oil, sugar and salt to lukewarm in microwave or on top of stove. Add all at once to the flour mixture and beat until smooth (about 3 minutes).
2. Add enough flour to make soft dough (2-3 cups). Mix well and let rest in bowl for about 10 minutes.
3. Shape into 12 slightly flat balls and place on greased baking sheet to rise until doubled in size.
4. Bake in a preheated 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 12 buns (48 buns) My directions... Warm milk, water, and sugar. Add to mixer bowl stir in yeast to soften. Add oil and salt and gradually knead in flour. Form into buns, place on lightly greased pans, let rise, and bake at 400ยบ for 10-12 minutes
